... ok

there's many POV matter in this article... i'll check and try correct that :)

  • France is not affraid by poor countries but by country where people are paid 70 €uros a month.

In France, if you have less than 602 €uros a month you are poor (for one people whithout kid) see in french this table) or [http://www.insee.fr/fr/ffc/chifcle_fiche.asp?ref_id=NATSOS04401 insee, official numbers ...

  • I remove the phrase about protectionnism, it's POV

No, the positions of many opponents of the treaty are protectionist: they don't want a free market, but want import restrictions, custom duties, and other rules to prevent concurrence from poorer countries. The Common Agricultural Policy, for instance, is a form of protectionism.

Apart from that, the article currently discusses the NO of France. I think we should thus discuss in detail the arguments of the no. Submarine 12:25, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

It's the term : concurence ???, what concurence ????, you joke ! (Remember China !)...
as french i voted yesterday
i don't know in Spain or other country, but French people RODE the Treaty, and discuss and argue at job, aound the meal. And it's very important, much more than SOFRES bullshit...

and last, as french i do not recognise at all my country into that article.
Sorry to say so, but I don't understand your (excuse me) very poor English.
The article is not meant to represent France, but the arguments in favor of the "NO", which were repeated at meetings and on posters plastered on walls around French cities.
Nobody disputed that the treaty was much discussed. Submarine 14:20, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
my english is not so good, i know and i am sorry for that...
for me this article pictures french people as mad people following extrem (left and right) ideas. no, not the case at all. French people have read the treaty and tried to understand it. The vote is interresting for that, much more than trying to expose political arguments.
If Paris and Lyon vote YES, it's because they closed voting 2 hours (10pm) after the rest of the country. Just watching the TV news at 8 pm and you know the result. Strange no ?
One last think, in France your education is not related to the place you live.

Obviously false. There are obvious links between education and wealth, and wealth and dwelling area. Submarine 10:10, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Blog edit

Heres a nice blog entry about this article - the writer claims that the "Best overview on this event can be found on WikiNews."! → CGorman (Talk) 13:38, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Reasons for a Yes? edit

This article needs to balance the lengthy exposition about the reasons for the no vote with a section about why people voted for the thing (43-45% did vote yes). I don't know enough about the issue at hand but I know POV when I see it.

You're confusing POV with laziness. Furthermore, this article is about a "NO" vote, not a "YES" vote. Submarine 05:56, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
