Talk:First ever video showing Guantanamo questioning released
Missing info
editThis article is missing some very basic elements. When was the interogation? Why is it being released now? How long is it? Who made the video?
Right the article is a description of the video and the POV commentary from Khadr's lawyer, who by the way picked the video. --SVTCobra 16:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- I have tried to answer the questions and add the opposite opinion to adress your concerns. Anonymous101 (talk) 17:58, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Misleading
edit...moved from Comments by --SVTCobra 17:29, 15 July 2008 (UTC)):
There are several misleading parts of this article -- so many that I'd be tempted to re-write the whole thing! Please have a look at this article from the CBC: [1]
The wikinews version either neglects to clarify or ignores these items:
- Khadr's comments about his eyes and feet are in reference to effects from the firefight in Afghanistan.
- "As Khadr continues crying, the agent calls for a break. 'Look, I want to take a few minutes. I want you to get yourself together. Relax a bit. Have a bite to eat and we'll start again,' the interrogator says."
- He's apparently not crying out "kill me" or "help me"... he's saying "Ya ummi," which is Arabic for "My mother."
Please revise this article so that it's not so one-sided and POV! I'm too new at wikinews to take on the task, but I would appreciate it if a more "senior" editor could have a look. --Quadrastreet (talk) 17:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

- That is from the CBC article: [2]--Quadrastreet (talk) 18:01, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- OK, added that to the article. Anonymous101 (talk) 18:10, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

- The CBC article says otherwise: [3]--Quadrastreet (talk) 18:01, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- Good point - removed that part of the article. Thanks for telling me that. Anonymous101 (talk) 18:07, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
