Misnested tags...

In the Editor's note. The small tag an attempt has been made to make it small, the SMALL tag is SPAN based and so shouldn't contain block level elements like Headings or paragrpah breaks. 18:21, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- Huh? It works, distributing the chosen attribute across all of the elements within the small tag. In fact, there's a case I had to deal with early in coding the dialog tools that I ended up dealing with by accepting and synchronizing with this sort of distribution-over-spans behavior (though it wasn't a small tag); if the Foundation find a way to screw that up they'd seriously break the upgrade of the wiki concept I've been developing here for about eight years now; talk about a breaking change. --Pi zero (talk) 23:35, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- Not done per above. [24Cr][talk] 06:18, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
- While the formatting works, the html code generated from the wikicode doesn't make sense semantically. A heading tag isn't supposed to be inside a
small
tag, as the latter is for inline purposes only. Semicolons shouldn't also be used to create pseudo-headings, as semicolons produce a "definition list", commonly used in glossaries. If pseudo-headings are needed, they should be bolded instead, followed by a blank paragraph below. Pandakekok9 (talk) 06:53, 24 August 2021 (UTC)- @Pandakekok9: hmmm. So are you saying something like the following would make sense?
'''Subheading'''
<small>Some text.</small>

- @Cromium: Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Pandakekok9 (talk) 14:03, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Done per above suggestion. [24Cr][talk] 14:07, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
