Confused

edit

I'm a bit confused at this sentence: "The two telescopes valued at US$300 million 6,910 kilograms (15,200 lb) TerreStar-1 was launched from Kourou, French Guiana, a department of France in South America." Is there a better way to word this? –Juliancolton | Talk 04:55, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Correction to launch responsibility for Terrestar

edit

The launch was performed by Arianespace, not ESA. ESA was responsible for the development of the Ariane series of launch vehicles, but since 1980 all manufacturing, sales and operations have been under the control of Arianespace. Arianespace is a multi-national European commercial firm competing on the world market with International Launch Services (Proton), SeaLaunch (Zenit 3SL) and to a lesser extent with Boeing Launch Services (Delta) and Lockheed Martin Commercial Launch Services (Atlas).
