OR Notes

edit
  • Friend got me a ticket, has raved about her playing on numerous occasions.
  • Met up in Bannermans, just across the Cowgate before going in. Support - The Rising Souls - were up first, short break, and then Chantel.
  • Acoustics in the place are stunning, both bands on-form, playing really well.
  • The Caves being haunted is a long, long-established bit of Edinburgh folklore (i.e. common local knowledge). Chantel teased fans about this on her facebook page prior to the gig.
  • The comment on the Cajon was a matter actually mentioned at the event in the Usher Hall (releated news). CEC staff were pointed to it's use being an attempt by musicians to avoid getting venues shut down; it's topical at the moment, given the council coming under pressure over their licensing folk supporting the sole complainant every damn time. --Brian McNeil / talk 14:44, 16 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reviewing

Am splitting at the start of the gallery to permit review of text whilst further images added. Please don't publish until editing tag taken off gallery. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:30, 16 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

I've completed review of the text, and set the article back to {{develop}}. This is a situation where one could profitably use a "pre-review" template, something that should be straightforward to set up once I've got my dialog tools just a bit further along. --Pi zero (talk) 16:50, 16 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
