Old news? edit

No, its not old news, it'd be old if it was a tornado, but its a sublte legal point which it take press people (like us) a while to grok. Nyarlathotep 15:30, 28 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

This president should have been old news by now. How do we allow him to do whatever he wants...when did we start allowing dictators? This is directly related to Constitutional Signing Statements (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signing_statement)

What is "old news" is that a paper like the Boston Globe would write something about Bush with a highly negative slant. The phrase "Bush declares immunity" is not true. The statement made was that Bush would obey the act if and only if it did not conflict with other existing Constitutional laws. Note - the Wikinews article does not link to the actual signing statement, only to a news article that tells you it is bad. 128.23.112.60 17:28, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
