There was chants of Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi! Answered by Team USA fans chanting USA USA in the lead up to the game.

Spectators are asked to be silent during the game.

Players most often appear to be stopped with their arms and only occassionly with their legs.

Team USA scored first. Jen Armbruster scored.

One of the USA polayers number 1 wore a hat. 1 for Australia had green and yellow ribbons in er hair and 8 had a bandanna.

USA players spent more time on their feet than Australia, with Australia starting on its knees.

Australia took a time out. Later USA took a time out in the first period.

1-0 at the end of the first half.

The Australians were talking to themselves about how well they were playing. The Americans tended to stand at the net. The Australians were a lot louder in talking to eachother in the second half. 3, 2, 1 on the court for the USA. 8, 3, 1 on the court for Australia. There was an Aussie time out. There was also a time out to check that 1 for Australia had her goggles on right. Americans in contrast were quieter and did not talk as much.

1 for USA scored in second half with 8:08 left to bring score to 2-0 USA. USA has 3 and 1 who tend to stand holding on to the back of the net until they hear the ball and then they drop.

Australia almost had an own goal.

Lots of balls blocked out. --LauraHale (talk) 18:01, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'd talked to APC people and it is found in the articles about goalball players on Wikipedia like Jennifer Blow and Tyan Taylor that the APC was working on getting them medal ready for Rio, not London. They were not expected to medal at this. It was viewed more as practice and experience for London.

We interviewed Tyan Taylor after the game and the above came up. This was brought up and Tyan Taylor said that their qualifying actually threw a spanner in the works. :)

There is a picture I have on my iPad of the scoreboard in the area downbelow which shows the scores and preliminaries. this verifies that. Cannot get it off my iPad as I ran out of data. this explains the rules of the game. I know them rather intrinsically but not sure everyone else would. --LauraHale (talk) 20:39, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
