"... George W. Bush declared a state of emergency in California." while Wildfires_burn_in_southern_California says "California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency."

Which one was it? 17:44, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Both. Arnold declared a state of emergency the morning the first evacuations were ordered, and Bush declared it later that day.

Santa Anna's die downEdit

I don't know if this is true down in San Diego, but up here in Ventura County the Santa Anna winds died down Tuesday evening. Can someone confirm/deny if the winds are still blowing down there? Dudecon 17:34, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Has aoneone done a mashup with Google Earth/Google Maps? If so, can we have a link to it? BenFrantzDale 22:53, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, I don't know about Google earth, but here's a good picture from the NASA earth obveratory. I don't know anything about copyright issues though. Spacehusky 01:22, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

This Wikinews article, Thousands more evacuated in California, USA, from a day before has some cool satellite imagery. There are copyright issues with using Google mashups here. --SVTCobra 01:32, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
