"... George W. Bush declared a state of emergency in California." while Wildfires_burn_in_southern_California says "California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency."
Which one was it? 80.221.214.253 17:44, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Both. Arnold declared a state of emergency the morning the first evacuations were ordered, and Bush declared it later that day.
Santa Anna's die down
editI don't know if this is true down in San Diego, but up here in Ventura County the Santa Anna winds died down Tuesday evening. Can someone confirm/deny if the winds are still blowing down there? Dudecon 17:34, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, I don't know about Google earth, but here's a good picture from the NASA earth obveratory. I don't know anything about copyright issues though. Spacehusky 01:22, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- This Wikinews article, Thousands more evacuated in California, USA, from a day before has some cool satellite imagery. There are copyright issues with using Google mashups here. --SVTCobra 01:32, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
