Pittsburgh Pirates defeat Philadelphia Phillies, 3-0

Kip Wells (#32) threw a four-hit shutout for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday, July 5, 2005. The game's final score was 3-0. Wells had 12 strikeouts in the home outing at PNC Park. The Pirates rallied in this game after getting shelled by the Phillies on Independence Day, 12-1. That game featured a grand slam in the 3rd inning for the Phillies, playing at the Pirates' home field.
