1,500 people in the town of Winnemucca, Nevada, United States had to be evacuated this weekend as an 8,000-acre, 55 square mile wildfire burned dangerously close to the town's southern end.
The fire threatened homes, businesses and a power substation. Lightning strikes are believed to have started the blaze.
