Tottenham Hotspur defeated Scottish team Celtic Football Club 2 – 0 with goals coming from Darren Bent and new signing David Bentley.

The game was a pretournament friendly exhibition game between the English and Scottish sides at the Feyenoord Jubilee Tournament in {{w|Rotterdam]], Netherlands. Celtic were last season's Scottish Premier League champions. Tottenham Hotspur finished 11th in the English Premier League last season.

Bentley, the £15 million new signing and English international scored in the eightieth minute with veteran Bent first opening up the scoreboard after a mistake in the 24th minute by Celtic defender Paul Hartley allowed Bent to pounce and score a goal past Celtic keeper Artur Boruc.
