Emigration perspective in the eyes of young Poles

During 19 and 20 October in Częstochowa took place National Scientific Students Conference, which was mainly devoted to migration of young Polish people. It was prepared by two students organizations from Technical University of Częstochowa and Jan Długosz Academy. The leading theme was: To leave or to stay? Young Poles seeking for prospect year after Polish accession to European Union.

Particular parts of Conference was lead by sociology profesors Marek Szczepański, Adam Rosół and Lech Milian.

For the following two days students were presented their own research work, then discussing the reports with professors. The main problems which those reports concerns were opinion and attitudes of young Pols towards the problems of temporary and permanent emigration. Few voice concern about the unemployment rate among people under 25, an issue connected with job searching, as well as identity matters, acculturation of expatriates or the relevance of emotional sphere to adjustement to new host country.
