The problem with the Third Parties
editLooking at these interviews with Independent and Third Party candidates, it seems to me the main problem most of them share is an unreasonable vision for what they'll achieve as President. Sure they have to present things as Big Ideas using Small Words for people to understand, but some of their Big Ideas are unrealistic no matter how you look at them. For example, this guy wants to get all illegal immigrants out of the country. Great in concept, but in my understanding the illegal immigrants are doing all the menial jobs no-one else wants to do, for less than minimum wage, so suddenly deporting them in one hit (even ignoring the fact that it would require a police/army operation of massive proportions) would destabilise the American economy to an unbelievable extent. If he's got a plan for it, though, all the best to him. Chris Mann (Say hi!|Stalk me!) 22:41, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Not to mention the whole "get our manufacturing jobs back" BS. People have no idea of the benefits that free trade has brought this country, and I will laugh when we eliminate our free trade laws and watch as the price of goods skyrockets. Spacehusky - (talk) 16:22, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
