This story hit the Sunday newspapers the day before the episode of the TV programme went on air. The incident happened ten days before. Pictures of John driving were on his official site all the time, but no mention of any drama. Fifth Gear deliberately leaked the sensational story the day before broadcast to ensure ratings.

I don't understand what's so special about this guy to begin with. Mike Halterman (talk) 07:07, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • He's the star of a major tv show? As a fan of said tv show, I know I would have been appalled if he'd been badly hurt (as that would have negatively affected the future of his show). And it's a reasonably big show, especially in the UK. (For the record, yes, I do find it slightly amusing that the story mentions his inability to die, in a story about how he avoided serious injury in an accident that could easily have been fatal.) --AdamField (talk) 21:19, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Remember John You Are Not The Captain edit

Thankfully John was not injured badly and hopefully the glass in the eye can heal fully. We sometimes take life for granted and we should cherish every living moment. Stay safe.
