So now the Venezuelans have to watch the Hoff instead of Homer? Won't somebody please think of the children! Chris Mann (Say hi!|Stalk me!) 23:17, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

ridiculous edit

Simpsons was never meant for children and never will be. The fact that they couldn't have a more sensible solution to this just makes me laugh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.122.146.159 (talk) 02:27, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

First off... just because it's animated never MEANT that it was FOR children. Second off, just because it involves a family does not mean it is family friendly. Thirdly, just because YOU might not have a sense of humor doesn't mean you have the right to determine what's appropriate for others. As a (nearly) 20 year fan of The Simpsons, I'd just point out that the show is not intended to teach what sarcasm, insanity, nor hypocrisy, but to be enjoyed by adults who already know and understand the concepts. Maybe the detractors of such programs should be examined and re-evaluated to see if they're qualified for their jobs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.173.180.187 (talk) 05:53, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

what bullshit edit

i thought chavez was a good guy, i have been throughoughly fooled, what a stupid country, i have distant family there and it must suck for them. =( and so what if its "innapropriate" for children in this newly puritan country and its is wholly approproate for kids, most stuff on TV notwithstanding like violant movies and even historical footage of wars on history programs are far more innapropriate, this is politics at its worst. fuckin-a.68.27.118.205 01:30, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Chavez does one thing right edit

The simpson's, family guy, and the rest of the moronic TV cartoons aimed at destroying family values should be banned here in the USA too !!206.24.48.1 02:02, 9 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Overreacting? edit

The Broadcast regulator should, if it feels necessary, move the show to a more suitable timeslot, rather than just axe the show from broadcast. It is up to parents to decide what they deem to be suitable for family viewing and theirs alone. The show is popular worldwide and despite cries of destroying morals and values it is still a family favourite for it's comic value. The move is simply abusing liberlity. Everything is ok, or nothing is.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.101.9.230 (talkcontribs)
