Soliders are in the Army. When including Marines and such the proper term is troop.
Actually soldier and troop are synonyms, and both sources use the word soldier, and don't tell us which service the casualties were with. However, I offer my condolences to comrades and families, and I am sure no disrespect to the USMC is intended by the choice of words.
