Now that the crime has been commited

edit

It is time for the ever lengthy court proceedings. 24.98.235.224 19:06, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

What crime? Georgia went in killing a few people. Russia came in killing a lot more people. But I don't see any "crime" per se. Just a big border dispute. Nyarlathotep (talk) 20:10, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, you see, that's one of the things... The "anglosphere" thought that the Evil Russians would do what they did back in the Soviet Union days, which normally was scorched earth policy... That didn't happen. The russians bombed only specific targets, enough to launch the georgian military into chaos and disarray. They were very effective in doing so. This contrasts with what the georgians did... They started everything by shelling and bombing a small town in South Ossetia, as well as villages, forcing the people that were there to move themselves to Russia, because they were russians, and russians with russian passports do not belong in USA administered Georgia. And you know what? One of the first buildings to be hit by the georgian shelling and bombing, was not only a hospital, but the building where OSCE's office was located... The first victim was a western ally...

Well, I do see a crime and from both sides (even as I'm Georgian). Both sides did wrong, but only we, Georgians are disadvantaged by not having a fair trial. All we want is a Neutral force to judge and make peace. Russians can not be neutral and thus cannot be peacekeepers. Georgia wants international (not Georgian) peacekeeping, Russia wants Russian (not International; and thus neutral) peacekeeping and strongly opposes any International peace. Doesn't this prove who started the war? If they want to protect their citizens and don't trust Georgians on that (I'd understand them, we want to protect ours, but don't trust them on that) then they must hand over to someone else, not take everything in their own non-neutral hands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.147.224.22 (talk) 05:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

What "neutral" force? NATO? Some EU forces? Maybe UN forces? THERE ARE NO NEUTRAL FORCES!! There's only hypocrisy. Georgia is a member of the Community of Independent States, for crying out loud! How can you propose that the russians, having all the cards after this conflict, should accept such a force in their backyard? I'm sorry... I don't see how. And do you know what proves who started the war? The OSCE report that clearly says that it was Georgia and not the russians that started it.

Where's that OSCE report that every Russian justifies their action with? Is it available somewhere online or any publication pointing to it? About Neurtal forces. You don't like NATO, fair enough, don't like US, fair enough, don't like EU, well OK (although I remember Russians trying to join NATO and EU, why is that if they don't trust them and don't regadr them as Neutral?) but UN is union of all nations. do you not have even a single force that you can trust as neutral, in the world? you can't just say, look we fight and I don't trust anyone to make peace, so I'll be a side and a peacekeeper at the same time. About all the cards. What? that's such an imperialistic attitude, what cards? If what you say is true, and Russians just wanted to make peace, then they made it and what cards are we talking about at all. If peace is what Russians want why do you speak in terms of "look we have occupied lands, so we have cards"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.147.224.22 (talk) 06:55, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Attack has not ceased

edit

As all Georgia reports, yesterday (on 12 Aug), even after Russians reported ceasefire, following operations have taken place:

  • Russian troops are out of conflict region of S.Osetia, into Georgia. Some villages are occupied and Russians are holding them. A lot of people living there reported marauding by S.Osetian separatists backed by ro reaction guarantee from Russian solders. Some 3 people are even reported dead. (You may think oh, 3, that's o.k. hundreds, if not thousands have dies, but this is during peace for very obviously unjust actions)
  • Russians are attacking the Kodori river valley in Upper Abkhazia, which to this day stayed under Georgian control. They have not retreated to their initial line before the conflict as they said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.147.224.22 (talk) 05:19, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I know, and there are also gulags where the Evil Russians torture and rape women and children... Just stop it. They've made their bed, now they must lie in it. You don't need to have a lot neurons on your brain to come to the conclusion that that is just a bunch of propaganda. Georgians started all of this by bombing and shelling a town, a civilian target. Now they will have to face the consequences. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.243.116.32 (talk) 10:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
