The French did something right for once --66.229.16.129 15:31, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not sure where your from, due to blatant racism im going to say US, but if you look at france in terms of quality of life, green power or protesting, then its doing much better than most countries. So OFC they can riot for a good cause, hell look up the French revolution. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.192.193 (talk) 18:52, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
And what kind of bigotry do you consider your own statement to be, "due to blatant racism im going to say US"?--SVTCobra 18:56, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
82.35.192.193, you do realise how much of a hypocrite you are being. Presumably some kind of joke?Anonymous101 (talk · contribs) (Note I have no link with the organization anonymous) 19:15, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

tibet is a part of the PRC and the vandalism of these short-sighted idealists is a meaningless disgrace, makes sense that it would happen in France though, where they protest every other week about labor this or muslim that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.228.93.202 (talk) 22:54, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah those silly French, protesting negative things like the oppressive, tyrannical, and just plain stupid PRC government and its human rights abuses. Why don't they protest positive things for a change like freedom of speech or intellectual freedom? Oh wait, I forgot the PRC's government thinks those things are negative. My bad. I find that it is unneccessary that everyone is tampering with the general meaning of the games and combining athletics with politics. The Olympics are about spirit, passion, pride and steroids, but thats another problem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.233.121.29 (talk) 23:10, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

China wanted to hold the Olympic games because of political reasons. They just wanted to show how developed and good of a country China is. The Olympics can never be separated from politics, whether one likes it or not. Stephenchou0722 - (talk) 00:17, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Why on earth though, did the Olympic Commitee decide to let China host it, given the poor quality of the air in Beijing? I also read somewhere that people tested the chicken there, and there was such a high steroid content that an athlete who was tested after eating them would test positive for steroids. Isn't it also ironic that China has to screen the television broadcasts, presumably to make sure they look good. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.252.55.149 (talk) 02:23, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The foolish anti-china sentiment does nothing for the cause of those trying to reduce the ethnic driven chaos that consumes the region of Tibet. It instead casts their own group as nothing more than hoodlums and childish pranksters. This is the fault of the separatists, the majority of whom have never seen Tibet and are following whims of foreign powers seeking to subjugate China once again. Tibet is a lawful part of PRC. It has been a part of China longer than it was ever independent. Even more than the Catalan people are Spanish, Tibetans are Chinese. For those who dispute this claiming non-interference in the past, please review history of how the first dali lama came to power at the will of the army of China. 66.157.111.48 09:01, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am curious why French didn't protest the torch relay when it was created,oh I forgot that was Nazi Germany did it first and I don't think French dared to do so then. Ask your athlete to quit Olympic first before your protest. You are doing the same thing when you throw the word "hypocrite" to China. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.25.32.210 (talk) 03:52, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Support Beijing 2008 Olimpic! Tibet was, is and will be a part of China. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.185.221.172 (talk) 05:05, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

French and other minority of westerners did wrong ang wrong things for Olimpic! They have hurt the feelings of Chinese and all the people who love peace! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.185.221.172 (talk) 05:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could someone please write these in the article? [[no:Store protester mot OL-fakkelstafetten i Paris]] [[sv:Franska poliser släcker OS-facklan]] Marius2 (talk) 21:50, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Willdo in a minute, just wanted to highlight that the correct way to get something like this added to an archived article is to put {{editprotected}} on the talk page followed by your requested change. --Brian McNeil / talk 08:56, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
