"Ford said she dialed 911 on her cell phone as she walked into the station. "The first operator clicked off and I dialed again and told that operator a guy with a gun was holding me hostage with a mother and baby and threatening to kill us. I told her the name of the gas station and then she said they didn't have a unit to send. ... I told him I needed more gas and took money out of my purse and went back into the station," she said. The attendant, Mohammad Alghazali, 30, said he noticed Ford was crying and she told him what was happening. He called 911 as he heard shots coming from the vehicle. ... Alghazali said a police car on a street nearby arrived in less than a minute after his call."

So, wait a minute. She calls the police and they hang up. She calls the police again and they say they have no vehicles to send. So a business calls - this is the third phonecall - and the police have a car down the street and it shows up in less than a minute? Why is no one rioting? This is unbelievable and it shows who the police are interested in protecting.

911 don't work as well sometimes edit

My father was dying in my arms last Tuesday and I called 911 and no one picked it up... I had to take him to the hospital myself. -Yubal —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.79.100.217 (talk) 15:31, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please reserch your article, it is completely in error on a number of points. The girlfriend did not ask the boyfriend if she could come to his house, she asked one of her girlfriends if her daughter and she could stay at her girlfriend's home because of a lack of heat. When the girlfriend arrived to pick them up she saw the ex-boyfriend on the porch, the girlfriend beleived him to be a furnace repairman untill she got closer and recognized his face. At that time all three females were taken hostage and ordered into the girlfriend's vehicle. Also be aware that the woman had a personal protection order against the ex-boy freind who had been stalking her and a few days prior to this incident the police were called to the house where he was stalking her, at which point the police picked him up and instead of taking him to jail they took him to his aunt's house and released him. On the night of the attack he had cut the telephone line to the house in order to prevent any calls for help to arrive. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.39.169.124 (talkcontribs) 02:11, 7 December 2007

Whether she did or not, that is the way it was reported at the time. If facts were indeed different, then a new article should be started about what really happened.--SVTCobra 03:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
