15 year old gets beaten up and this is news? i fail to see the mormon link tbh, when i was 15 people tended to just hurl abuse based on whatever they knew about you, unless the attack was a random act of violence against a mormon this is really a non-story.--82.35.192.193 13:33, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, apparently it was not considered a "non-story" by the Associated Press, New England Cable News, The Arizona Republic, East Valley Tribune, KNXV-TV ... among others. Cirt (talk) 15:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's a non-story because you wouldn't hear about this if they were simply Mexicans or African Americans. But, because it involves some wanna-be neo-nazi kids and some good natured Christian kid, it makes the news. I really don't care how many people report on it, I simply don't care about some kids getting stomped out in Arizona - I'm sure we're only getting half the story at best anyways. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.226.230.36 (talk) 20:20, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Again, an ... interesting viewpoint - why not try telling it to the Associated Press, New England Cable News, The Arizona Republic, East Valley Tribune, and KNXV-TV? Cirt (talk) 21:25, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- 144.226.230.36, that's a ridiculous assertion. Almost all beatings/attacks that are perceived as "hate-crimes" are covered widely in news media.--SVTCobra 00:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with Cobra; reporting of hate crimes is generally newsworthy. Jade Knight (talk) 03:48, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Mormon children being attacked
editHello,my name is Nancy and I'm not a Mormon but I have family and friends who are and I would consider what happened a hate crime, which is against the law mabe if those drunkin kids went to court and were charged lawfully others would think before they do what they did, come on!I dont believe in the book of Mormon, but the people are beautifull and I love them, and I would defend them all the way. I pray these beautiful kids will be ok,and I will pray for them as I do for all people.Love of Christ(who died for all, for all are sinners saved by grace, not mans law, thank God )Nancy Dalrymple —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.21.26.202 (talk • contribs)
