What a joke
editOsbourne no longer had a career. Black Sabbath and Osbourne as a rocker were long gone. If anything, The Osbournes put him back on the map, and his kids too (whereas nobody had heard of them before). --David Shankbone 21:35, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- I have to agree there. I wouldn't say he was a complete write-off, but I would say he was fading fast. The Osbournes picked him up a bit, although to be honest he may have to think about giving up soon. Sad but true. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 21:39, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- And if Alice Cooper thought Ozzy Osbourne still represented evil and spookiness to people, he clearly had not heard of the Marilyn Manson phenomenon. The giving up thing is always tossed around for the old codgers (Bowie, The Stones, et. al.) --David Shankbone 21:43, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it's allways hovering right there. A shame in almost all cases, particularly as I admire the spirit to keep on performing when you get ancient. Lol, but not for The Coop. He seems determined to still be scheduled to play the night he has his fatal heart attack - or even, based on that gallows collapse, kill himself right there onstage! - Last time I saw a performance of Ozzie on TV he was a shambling wreck. The show simply showed him as a tragically funny working class guy who'd made enough to have a mansion. --Brian McNeil / talk 10:07, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
ozzy vs the coop
editthe question is, who has more influence? nothing ozzy did without sabbath was as good as with sabbath, and vice versa. i would have to go with the Coop!
