City of São Paulo celebrates 451 years of existence

SÃO PAULO, Brazil —Tonight seven hours of festivities will take place in the well-known Avenue Paulista, in the heart of São Paulo. Over one million people are expected to show up at the celebration of the city's 451st anniversary.
Both the city´s Mayor, José Serra, and the state´s Governor, Geraldo Alckmin, are due to attend the celebration.
