The Chicago White Sox win the 2005 World Series, the ultimate championship of baseball in the United States of America and Canada, defeating the Houston Astros four games to zero, a series sweep. Tonight at Minute Maid Park in Houston, the White Sox won the final game by a score of 1 - 0, scoring the game's only run in the eighth inning. The Chicago White Sox are the 2005 American League pennant champions and the Houston Astros are the 2005 National League pennant champions.
