Islamic web forum releases videotape of Ayman al-Zawahiri

An Islamic militant web forum has released a video of Al-Qaeda's second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, who reportedly released the tape to commemorate the battle of Tora Bora in December 2001. In the video, Zawahiri exhorts the Iraqi insurgency to “Stay firm, stay together.” He also calls President George W. Bush the “Caesar of Washington,” and praised Iraqi militant leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Canada tests cow for Mad Cow Disease

Canada’s Food Inspection Agency reports that initial tests done on a six-year-old dairy cow in Fraser Valley near Vancouver could not rule out bovine spongiform encephalopathy, or “mad cow disease.” Further tests are being conducted at Winnipeg's National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease and results are expected on Sunday. Officials also say the cow did not enter the human food chain.
