Whywhywhy~enwikinews
Hi there! Unfortunately there are no RSS feeds for specific regions... yet. However if you are interested in just seeing Australian news you could try the Australia portal page. - Borofkin 07:08, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
Hi there... some people don't think that this article is ready to be published. Have a look at the discussion on the talk page. It may be worth adding some context to explain the quotes, or something. Either way, you're welcome to weigh in on the talk page with your opinion. - Borofkin 04:48, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Reverts edit
If you were to look back at Recent Changes, I reverted about 150 edits earlier today. Amgine had about as many from early this morning. There is apparently a new vandal bot about... --Chiacomo (talk) 06:33, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
Wikinews needs you edit

Tunisian Muslim says apologise to Baha'is edit
I've looked through your comments and made amendments to address your concerns. Are you happy for me to publish this now? AndrewRT 20:31, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Have a care! edit
Hi! just wanted to bring to your attention this edit, which accidentally broke a couple links in MrMiscellanious's signature. It's not a problem, but generally speaking it's considered very bad form to edit another user's comments or signature. I'm sure this was not intentional, so I'm just mentioning it so you can avoid it in the future. - Amgine | talk 03:14, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Image - Image:Joystiq.jpg edit
Thank you for uploading the image of Grafiti (:. However I can't find anywhere on the site that says its IrIn. I probaly just overlooked it on their web-page, so if you could point it out to me that would be great.I've put {{Img-src}} on that picture because we curently don't have a tag for this situation, and this way I don't forget about the image. - This image appears to have been uploaded with a deliberately misleading licensure. Please do not do this again. Wikinews may only host images which meet one of its limited fair use requirements. - Amgine | talk 22:56, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
why dont you go hang out in some one else talk amgine. i got mixed up and was in a rush between "fair use media" and "free media" sorry .by the way your spam signature is very Annoying . --Whywhywhy 23:29, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Offisite Siggys... edit
Hey! As a note, most (I think all) of my sigs on other Wikis point to Wikinews... I almost never edit Wikipedia anymore except to do stuff for Wikinews. That's not so bad, I think. --Chiacomo (talk) 14:52, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
are you admin on these other projects that link directly to this project? personally i think its courtesy to the project to have at least one link to that projects talk/user page with any status in your sig.If we are unable to redirect our user pages to other projects then I dont see why our signatures are any different --Whywhywhy 01:31, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- BTW Whywhywhy, Amgine is a he :) --Cspurrier 19:22, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

- You know, it's funny but I always think of Amgine as a she, because his name is so similar to the female name "Angie". So what gender do y'all think I am? - Borofkin 01:50, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Policy proposal Re; Time limit for Administrators edit
hi,; hope you can support this I just put this on the watercooler policy section
This is an urgent issue that must be addressed now, imo, because an integral condition for exercising administrative authority here on wikinews is stipulated to be "You are trusted by the community"[1].
I have designed a very simple policy proposal. Our past attempts at dealing with this sensitive issue(e.g.ArbCom proposals) have been unsuccessful, imo, because of their complicatedness. I would simply ask, if possible, that this proposal be given an "up or down" vote (with associated comments of course). Any attempt to complicate OR DELAY IT (especially by existing administrators) could be seen as suspicious behavior, I think. Administrators who have the community's trust have nothing to fear with this proposal.
Proposal;
1. As of Feb.1,2006, adminships will be for a 1 year term. 2. All existing non-Bureaucrat adminships will terminate Feb. 1st. 2006.
3.Nominations for renewal of existing adminships will begin on January 24th.

Australian Portal edit
Hi Whywhywhy.... Just letting you know that I've comletely redone the Australian Portal - it now displays articles grouped into days, the same as on the main page, and has a lead article. We can set our own standards on the Aussie portal - for example, we could ditch the whole "develop" and "publish" stages if we wanted to, or we could create an "australia-publish" stage, that would cause the article to appear as published on the Australian Portal, but not on the Main Page. Articles are still in the main namespace, however, and still have to be NPOV. Anyway, let me know what you think on the Australian discussion page. - Borofkin 23:33, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed edit
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Whywhywhy. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Whywhywhy~enwikinews that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
