I APOLOGIZE FOR PUTTING A HOAX ON WIKINEWS (ON PINOCHET'S DEATH).

Welcome

Paraguayo, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. Stroessner

Hola.

Julián Ortega - My talk 21:48, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
No sabía. ¿Por que abril?Paraguayo 21:49, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Léete April Fool's Day. Y para que yo sepa que me respondes, haz clic en "My talk" después de mi firma. Julián Ortega - My talk 21:52, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Pues fíjate que sí me latía que era eso. Ahora te toca disculparte con todos, aunque ya lo expliqué en la página de discusión del artículo. Y todo por un malentendido... Julián Ortega - My talk 21:56, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Doppelganger

So, according to "the vandal" Deprifry, you're my double, huh? -chileno 23:25, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

No kidding.

re: Stroessner article

Please do not contact user:NeoAmsterdam further regarding this article.

The article was reported in good faith, based on a news report which turned out to be a hoax. This is not the first article which has happened in this manner, and it is not a problem either to have created the article or to report that it is not true; at Wikinews we do not fault each other for acting in good faith.

However, user:NeoAmsterdam does not wish to communicate further with you regarding this topic, and has asked me to request you not contact him any more. - Amgine | talk en.WN 23:14, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

-chileno

Hi -chileno and Paraguayo which is probably the same person. Congrats, you are now blocked indef. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:16, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Checkuser says they are --Cspurrier 00:17, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I beg to differ. Whats checkuser? Paraguayo 00:33, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
See Wikinews:Requests for CheckUser. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:36, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
It'll be funny when Pinochet actually dies and the article "Augusto Pinochet dies" is permanently deleted. Oh well. I notice nobody stated that I and -chileno are the same person in CheckUser. I insist we aren't. I know nothing of him. One more thing, when will the ban on my IP be over? Thank you for your patience and goodwill, Paraguayo 00:39, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
You are blocked indef by Cspurrier. That means that your block never expires. You can only edit on this page. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:41, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
INDEF! Even my IP! Isn't the policy to assume good faith. I could change, you know? And you have yet to show me evidenc ethat I am -chileno. I steadfastly state I'm not. And Cspurrier has not answered my emails. Paraguayo 00:44, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Your edits support the hoax article. See contribs. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:46, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
You trouble me. I said Stroessner died, not Pinochet, and I was the victim of a Hispanic equivalent of April Fool's. Again I ask, is it my IP that is banned indef. Isn't it against Wiki policy. Paraguayo 00:48, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Your IP is blocked too. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:50, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Forever? And without solid evidence that I am a doppelganger? Incidentally, why was my subpage on Stroessner deleted? Paraguayo 00:51, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Cspurrier is the one that blocked you. Not me. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:52, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
A million thanks for unblocking my talk. How can I contact admins to protest my block. Again, I thank you for your kindness. Paraguayo 00:55, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
You can email them. FellowWikiNews (W) 00:55, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
How? I'm not a user so I can't just click on the "Email user" link. And most of then don't post their emails on their userpage. Paraguayo 00:56, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
How did you email Cspurrier? FellowWikiNews (W) 00:57, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
He, unlike other admins, had his email on his user page. Paraguayo 00:58, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
You can go to User:Cspurrier and click on "E-mail this user" on the left toolbar. —this is messedrocker (talk) 00:59, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Brianmc has a link to his email here. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:00, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. God bless. Paraguayo 01:01, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Messedrocker, you're an admin, aren't you? Paraguayo 01:04, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I am an administrator. —this is messedrocker (talk) 01:05, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm an admin too. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:06, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Why didn't you say so? I was searching for one. I am not -chileno I insist. I admit the Pinochet article was a hoax, but a one-time hoax doesn't merit an indefinite ban. -chileno appears to have done a similar hoax before, but I am in no way related to him.Paraguayo 01:07, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Any users that can block and protect are admins. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:10, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
My ban needs to have a limit. Can you change the limit of user bans? Paraguayo 01:12, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I can change the block to 24 hours instead of indef. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:13, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'd be much obliged. Paraguayo 01:15, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've moved your block to 24 hours. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:18, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I won't be causing trouble any longer. Paraguayo 01:20, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I hope not. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:20, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Your block expires at 01:17, 27 August 2006. See block log. FellowWikiNews (W) 01:26, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your block has been restored. You are a repeat hoax article creator. The Checkuser check determined, a second time, that you and -chileno are editing from the same computer with no edit overlaps (thus not a proxy). There does not seem to have been any attempt to research *why* you were originally blocked. An admin should discuss a block/unblock before doing so, to insure there is no misunderstanding as to why a block should be implemented. - Amgine | m | en.WN 01:39, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

It has been clearly established that your presence on Wikinews is deterimental to the project. I have therefore protected your talk-page to prevent further trolling on your part. Goodbye. PVJ(Talk)  10:28, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
