Talk:First results from Italian election

This, I have to say, was a bit of a mess. I appreciate we had a few new contributors, so I'll just outline what went wrong here. We're not an encyclopedia, which means that reports don't get updated to reflect significant changes to the facts. Initially this was published when the polls opened, and said so. It should have stayed that way and a new article been started for the poll closure. By now I suspect there should be three or four articles on the election. Folks, be bold, write new articles, put in a Related news section and link to other articles, even 2 on the same subject in one day is okay, but revising stuff that's a day or so past publishing should be avoided. You can rehash information in a new article that appears in an earlier one, provided there haven't been any new reports that contradict the earlier article. --Brian McNeil / talk 20:35, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely. Take a look at the Wikinews:Content guide for more details. Dan100 (Talk) 07:23, 11 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
