Geographical areas

Calendar

edit

A calendar-like layout could be very useful to display such information. There would be a calendar per region.

List of MediaWiki calendar extensions:

We might be able to do that with fancy templates somehow (hard, but possible I think). Bawolff 22:06, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That would be good for us internally, but that seems useless for outsiders to add to. -- Zanimum 14:30, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RSS feeds

edit

RSS feeds for each region could be useful both for Wikinews users and other journalists.

Well we have the crappy history feed. It doesn't format nicely, but it gets the needed info through: http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Wikinews:Upcoming_events/North_America&action=history&feed=rss Bawolff 22:07, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
