Wikinews:Arbitration Committee/Elections July 2007/Brianmc Questions

This is the page dedicated for allowing anyone to ask Brianmc questions regarding his candidacy for the July 2007 Arbitration Committee elections.

If it is, it has been up there so long that it must've passed its expiry date. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:13, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • What is your take on systemic bias here on Wikinews? What do you feel about our chronic lack of female contributors, and how it reflects on the ArbCom candidates all being white males between 15 and 45 from Western countries? Doesn't cultural perspective influence discussion processes? --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 22:47, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Our systemic bias is a problem, and one I'm not sure how to address. I would hope that if we run a writing contest we'll attract more contributors, but I'm afraid it'll just be more white males. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:13, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Out of interest, how do we know, that just because we are all from Western countries, that we are all white? Brian | (Talk) | New Zealand Portal 09:18, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was following on from SFS's assumption, do you know something I don't? --Brian McNeil / talk 09:21, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was just thinking outwards. Haver reading SFM's comment Brian | (Talk) | New Zealand Portal 10:31, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
