- Name: Warna Karunarathne
- Location: London, United Kingdom
- Areas of interest: Politics, War, Environment,
- Reason: I mostly like reporting about politics because everywhere in the world, people need information about current situation of the politics. As of my view, in the present world depend on politics (War, Peace, Foods, Save Environment,). Each and every things effected by political decisions. Basically currently I'm working as freelance writer. I like to meet some responsible persons and gather informations for my articles. Be an Accreditated reporter of Wikinews, it will more easy for me to reach those persons.

- Oppose Accomplishments need to be of things you have achieved here on Wikinews. Write some more articles for now and apply again later. ~YTT T | C 03:49, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes I agreed with you. Since I maintain my own blog, I didn't contribute here. Actually I found WikiNews recently and needed to apply for AR to reach my goals and ambitions. From now as soon as I wrote article to my blog, then I will contribute it here. I promise you all. Lanka
- Oppose, Oppose, Oppose. Your English is atrocious; you've the temerity to call the project "WikiNews"; you obviously do not understand copyright law. No chance in hell you'll get accreditation until you rectify all those faults and prove yourself with several quality articles on Wikinews that aren't cut 'n' pasted from some random blog. --Brian McNeil / talk 06:43, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Yet another oppose vote. "User ID: lanka"? Lol. Plus, the "WikiNews" thing... etc. Now, seriously, if you want accreditation, try to work some more in articles here in Wikinews, don't show us your work in your "own Wikileaks version" for Sri Lanka, or blog, whatever it is, that's not Wikinews material, unless of course... it is newsworthy. - Understood!!!!! Thank you very much. Lanka
- The above opposition has been fully vindicated through your initial attempt at an article. Wikinews is not somewhere that will republish you blog musings. You don't seem to know the difference between an editorial and a news article. You think 'mainstream press' is an acceptable source citation. I'll just bet if, and when, someone takes the effort to find your blog, there will be an utterly incompatible copyright statement on it. This application should be withdrawn; learn some of the low-level basics, and prove you can write. You have yet to demonstrate that at all. --Brian McNeil / talk 19:25, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay. Thank you. I will work on it and learn properly and apply after I was success. Lanka
