The reason I accidentally posted multiple welcome messages (after the first one, which was just me trying to figure out how it worked) was because I use the back button on my browser a lot. If you click the back button it reactivates the javascript and re-adds the same message again... and again... and again. I'm starting to remember why I dislike javascript;). - Yea. It's not perfect. It's also somewhat insecure. Bawolff may make us a new version, but for now it does it's job. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 16:05, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the note!
I'll fix the ref tag thing. I'm open to suggestion on the headline. Is the word "gratuitous" the problem? I don't think it would be controversial...all coverage seems to deal with it that way. But, I'm brand new here (though very experienced on Wikipedia), and very interested in feedback. -Peteforsyth (talk) 05:13, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
Hi ShakataGaNai, I received your message. It is a interview mane by me in June 2009. I am the author of this interview. It is just a printed version for the moment (if you want I will send you a jpg or pdf of the pages from the Journal Kitej-Grad, Romania), but soon it will apear on-line at the source (url) I have left. I talked 2 weeks ago with someone from Wikipeda, Romanian version, and he told me this interview fits beter here, in wikinews. Please revise your decision or tell me what to do. Many thanks --C (talk) 08:22, 6 September 2009 (UTC)C
Flood flag
If you're going to be adding the {{proxyblock}} to a lot of talk pages, could you turn on the flood flag for yourself, to avoid filling the RC? Thanks. Tempodivalse [talk] 23:52, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- Snicker Snicker. Yea.... I saw that... --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 23:53, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Now that I find the list of insert-a-template stuff is in the left-hand toolbox, I've posted a whinge/suggestion to Bawolff that it be recoded into the vector dropdown action list. I'd guess you'd support such a change, and probably also want to see it on Commons. --Brian McNeil / talk 12:49, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- That could be kinda long, but I don't have any issue with it. Whatev! --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 15:41, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
enwn.net
Hi there Jon,
For reasons unrelated to Wikinews I've been looking at sending an rss feed to Twitter. However, the fastest service I can find is 30 mins, which isn't quick enough. Can I ask how you have done it with enwn.net?
Cheers! Tris 18:37, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Hello
Can you please help me with Lightning strikes Mumbai. I am new and don't know much. You have said that the article is not newsworthliness. I have edited the first paragraph as you said. Next is its copyright. I am working on it. Next is verifiability. I don't understand how that failed! --Srinivas 06:31, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- "n/r" means not reviewed. What I would suggest is that you change the first paragraph is emphasize the people killed, and push "thunderstorms are normal" a little lower in the article. Also rename the article to reflect that important part, something like "Three killed in Mumbai lightening storm". The point of the title is to get people to click the link in the first place, and the first paragraph needs to hook them into reading the rest. Hope that helps. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 06:39, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi, can you replace the file with File:Northern Rock Customers, September 14, 2007.jpg in the two articles? I renamed the file on Commons. --Martin H. (talk) 18:57, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Done Next time you might want to include the articles though. Clicking on the file link redirects me to the new name even here, etc etc, just makes it that much more difficult to track down the articles. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 19:35, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
removal of search boxes
I added a search box to the water color, but you reverted my edit without a single explaination. However, I'm pretty sure you had a valid reason for the revert, so could you please explain why you removed my edit before I reinstate it? Thank you. --Ixfd64 (talk) 04:15, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Someone was tweaking in IRC because somehow the Water Cooler was marked as "Published". They asked me to look into it and in the few quick seconds I had to sneak a peak, I saw your edits and nothing else as of late that might have caused it, so I did the rollback. I woulda left a message... or done a more in depth check, but to be honest, I was playing Firefight on ODST, so I wasn't totally paying attention. You can undo my rollbacks and see if anything crops up again. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 04:48, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- That's OK, and thanks for the speedy explanation. I was afraid that I had broken something, LOL. Anyways, happy editing! :) --Ixfd64 (talk) 05:24, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Working on another overhaul. Comments here. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 18:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Image help
Any idea why the image credit is not working here Murder charge dropped against US Marine who admitted killing Iraqi detainee illegally? Cirt (talk) 22:39, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Template doesn't like ?asdf=asdf . Thinks it's wiki template options. Just leave out the link. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 22:43, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

- Welcome, sorry I couldn't "Fix" it properly, but it was either no link, or URL shorten... and ... meh, we credited. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 22:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
