States of Mexico

Okay, I see a section labeled States, but it only appears to include the states of the US, and not those of Mexico. Seems the best solution would be to rename the States section to US States and the Provinces section to Canadian Provinces, which would allow room for Mexican States. Slambo 15:43, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

State pages

Both the Texas and Wisconsin pages have been started. They both have a link to a "main page" for the state. for instance "See the wisconsin main page...". I dunno about others, but I had envisioned each state page acting like a main page for the state, and not needing a secondary one. Basically like the region/topic pages that we have so far. Views? That's what I thought it would be, but then I saw the Texas page and created the Wisconsin page to look like it. I've removed the link on the Wisconsin page referring to another Wisconsin main page. Slambo 17:50, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I created one for Indiana--didn't use the separate "Main Page" concept for the reasons Lyellin mentioned above. What I'd like to do with Indiana is create a "bureau" so to speak for each of the parts of the state--Evansville, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Gary, Jeffersonville, Bloomington, Richmond, Terre Haute, and South Bend (which, incidentally, roughly correspond to the state's Congressional districts) and further subdivide the reporting into each of those regions. Is there some way to cause there to be links to state pages from stories that are relevant? Example, the Rhode Island story of the reporter in contempt of court is relevant to the country but also to the state. It seems an automatic way of linking into categories when there is obvious relevance to more than one is the best way to make stories found by readers.
