I personally like the idea of just transcluding the portal on to the categgory. user:Bawolff 22:58, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I think that categories should not have a huge portal on them; it distracts people from the actual purpose of categories: to display a list of articles. I think that a mini-portal is a better idea; if somebody wants to see more, they can click on a link to the portal itself, or continue on to the category's contents.

Plus, every time I click to go to the next page, I have to then scroll through the portal (again and again) to get to the article list. It can get annoying fast on the heavily populated categories. —Zachary ^talk 05:03, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
