This template handles for {{source/pub}} the case where target is specified as no. Any changes in handling of this case thus only affect pages that specify target no.

Usage

Two parameters are supported:

  • pub — required — name of the publisher.
  • nocat — optional — if non-blank, suppresses categorization.

There was some question, when this subtemplate was set up, whether it is really advisable to allow unlinked publishers, since this would diminish the incentive to strive for a suitable target, and a suitable target aids the reader. This subtemplate was therefore initially set up to not suppress the link, but to categorize, on the notion that collecting instances where this behavior might be wanted could give insights into whether it is advisable to activate the behavior. At this writing this template still does not suppress the link.
