This template sorts pages into Category:Prepared stories.
In the simplest case, add the following tag to the top of the page:

The template can also take either or both of two optional parameters. event describes the event the article is being prepared for; date specifies a date as of which the intended focal event is expected to happen.
Non-blank parameter nocat suppresses categorization.
