This was purely Steve Ballmer misspeaking. He clarifies himself at http://www.freep.com/money/tech/mwendland2e_20041202.htm. How do you take down the article? — Anonymous

The article has been corrected. This isn't Slashdot. Rather than mindlessly hating Microsoft and hiding our mistake by conveniently deleting the article, the corrected article now points out the mistake and provides a link to the source for the correction. — DV 15:34, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
