Talk:Witnesses expose big corruption scheme of the Brazilian ruling party

This article was written by the Wikinews user Carlosar, who lives in Brazil. The article details some of the last events about the Brazilian political crisis. There a lot of documents right here [1]. However the information is in Portuguese.--Carlosar 27 June 2005 20:01 (UTC)

I dont know if I will have free time. Anyway you can ask me anything and you can demand more information. I will try to answer you. Also I accept any suggestion for the article's improvement. --Carlosar 27 June 2005 20:09 (UTC)

I take it that the name of the magazine is correct as 'IstoÉ', rather than 'Istoé'?

"IstoÉ" is the correct version. "IstoÉ" = pron + verb = "Isto + é" = "That[Isto] + is [É] it [not used in Portuguese]" --Carlosar 27 June 2005 22:37 (UTC)

Some clarification is needed in the final sentence: "He said that the biggest Post Office contracts should be investigated and he mentioned big contracts to the Brazilian bank Bradesco." I'm not sure what the relevance of mentioning big contracts to the bank is. I presume the 'he' is the same 'he' who said the biggest Post Office contracts should be investigated. Is this correct? --Keith 27 June 2005 21:52 (UTC)

Yes --Carlosar 27 June 2005 22:37 (UTC)

The Post office former chief said that certain things were suspicious in Post Office. Some of these things were:

  • some of the big contracts
  • the contracts to the Bank Bradesco. The Bradesco won several licitations and won big contracts.

Well, I let to you decide if the Bradesco Bank should be mentioned or not. Actually, there are a lot of denountiations. I tried to choose the most important ones. --Carlosar 27 June 2005 22:37 (UTC)

If something is not clear, you can ask me.--Carlosar 27 June 2005 22:37 (UTC)
