Winmx was great place...... if not for downloading then for talking to friends in a fast,easy to use chat! I'm sure many agree also.

- Wrong to a degree :). WinMX's OpenNap capabilities should still work, so you can keep the interface if you know how to operate the other (hidden) half of the program. Hands down, the best p2p client I've ever used. --Mrmiscellanious 02:40, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
There is a serious error in the original article, winmx.com operated no central server on their domain, the network was and remained a decentralised network formed only by its users thus no files where ever on the companies web prescence to be downloaded or filtered.
