No, no, not newsworthy. Look at the statistics on Wikipedia - we get downtimes nearly every month, some shorter some longer. This definitely is not new, and ffs it's just an hour. If it's down for a day, okay, but an hour? That's not a big loss. Aranherunar 08:11, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not news edit

I don't believe this is news — Wikipedia downtimes are pretty routine. This isn't anything special. It's not news. —this is messedrocker (talk) 21:20, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

How about Wikimedia servers unreachable for 3 hours due to network outage? Why can't we report on this? FellowWikiNews (W) 21:22, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't know why that was published to begin with. Let's not start a precedent on reporting on every single time a website goes down. —this is messedrocker (talk) 21:24, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just my 2 cents. Its a big deal becasue Wiki is a very popular site. Swenikiwwollef 21:26, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think it is news-worthy. (Sorry to report I am the only Wiki addict.) Sue me. FellowWikiNews (W) 21:27, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Considering the lock reason, this might be newsworthy. We just have to wait to see what the database change was all about. If it was minor maintenance work, then I dunno... —this is messedrocker (talk) 21:29, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Holy shit! I think Wikipedia is under attack! Look how many accounts are being created!

LOL, no way this is news. I hope this doesn't create a precedent for publishing more of these.. Coffee2theorems 12:07, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is working now! edit

Everything is back to normal now. FellowWikiNews (W) 21:44, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
