Talk:Virginians melee at used Apple iBook sale
Former title: "Riot for 50 dollar laptops sold by school in Henrico County, Virginia" - slight problem with renaming/moving; had to perform manual move/rename.
Math error ?Edit
Unless one person had both a leg injury and heat-related illness, this is a math error:
"four requiring hospitalization - one for a leg injury, and four for heat-related illness"

The minor injuries described indicate that this was not the riot that has been portrayed by the media. StuRat 20:26, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
Are Americans this poor?Edit
I don't get it. I've always been told how america's the greatest, richest country in the world. Now I see the old people taking buses to Canada for drugs, 50 million americans with 0 health insurance; and now, a riot over a bunch of used computers? What's the real deal over there?
- Many people are poor... not third-world poor or anything, but enough that a nice computer is a luxury. Most people I know are stuck in dinky jobs in fast food, supermarkets, and customer service, and lucky if they can get better than part-time hours. College doesnt seem to make much of a difference (hence the general amusement at GWB's statement in the last debates about what he would do about jobs being shipped overseas being to help people get educations).
there is a photo available of the melee at the richmond times-dispatch webstite. this is the url: http://www.timesdispatch.com/servlet/Satellite?blobcol=urlmainpicture&blobheader=image/jpeg&blobkey=id&blobtable=MGImage&blobwhere=1031784482811&ssbinary=true
four requiring hospitalization - one for a leg injury, and four for heat-related illness
Five in total, then. Or was it three for heat-related illness? Please fix.
