Scoop

I take it this was the first scoop by Wikinews. It might be nice to create Wikinews:Scoop and list this and future scoops there. It would serve as a feature and a way of boosting morale on Wikinews even further. Also, we could create a modified version of {{Original reporting}} for scoops, like {{Original reporting - Scoop}}, and possibly a category, though I may be getting ahead of myself here. -- Redge (Talk) 13:16, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I believe this was the first really big scoop of major news media on a major subject. I suspect we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here, perhaps, with creating a scoop category/template... One other question to consider: What is a scoop? if a subject is not covered by main steam media (because it's too localized a subject, to small a topic, etc.) does it count? I would love to see all the little league games of <fill in neighbourhood here> covered, but I'm not sure each story would count as a scoop. - Amgine 15:54, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
