- that doesn't necessarility make ur explanations correct or uncontested :) — Doldrums(talk) 07:20, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- all those exit-polls are one way to check such explanations. — Doldrums(talk) 07:22, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- took a chance, u called me :) don't know what to make of your exit poll thing -Edbrown05 07:29, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- "calling" is easy. 's why i do it so much. :)
- cnn exit poll surbey. strangely enough, doesn't appear to have anything about the gay marriage amendment.
- an explanation must meet the standards, significant number of people thought an issue was important, more people favored one candidate's view on issue over the other's.
- for eg., more than half voted in the election to support or oppose bush. and disapproval of bush/his handling of war is consistently higher than approval. (this is a hypothetical example. am not suggesting this "explanation" or claiming this is the only explanation)
- rather than say this is the explanation, we say these are the numbers. we say, more people voted with iraq in mind and most didn't like what's happening there. this more verifiable than Webb won 'coz ...". and causality is hard to establish. — Doldrums(talk) 07:52, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- do Doldrums, see the Virginia Pilot source. -Edbrown05 07:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Note to self. read sources. occasionally. — Doldrums(talk) 07:52, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

All very Virginia-centric. Surely some volunteer pundit can stump a national victory speech? 74.134.236.69 08:40, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
