Talk:Toronto AIDS conference opens without Canadian Prime Minister
Latest comment: 18 years ago by SVTCobra
So? Was Harper scheduled to attend? Is it a tradition for the PM to attend? Of what significance are the criticizers' comments, in relation to Harper having none (that is reported in this article)? This article needs a little more time to be developed before it is published, let alone a featured article. --75.21.172.150 00:25, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, the title of the article reflects a certain POV. Harper was not scheduled at any time - so it is not like he pulled out. The health minister of Canada attended. The co-chair of the conference seems to be the one who started the complaining about Harper's absence. At the previous AIDS conference, the Prime Minister of Thailand and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan attended. That of course begs the question: why is no one bitching that Annan 'ditched' this conference. --SVTCobra 23:57, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
