Front page news edit

No offense, but why is some story about a grain tank in a town of ~2000 people, making it to the front page news?

Currently, consensus seems to be that all stories published here appear on the Main Page. It is possible, I believe, by using [[Category:Local only]] to keep it off the Main Page. In that case, it will appear only on Portals associated with its Categories, like Tennessee listed at the bottom of the story. -Edbrown05 04:40, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

The hope is that once we reach a "critical mass" or articles daily, only national/international stories will make the front page (at least in large type/top of the page)... Until we reach that "critical mass" all stories make the front page. My dream for Wikinews (or at least one of them) is that we'll some day have as many state/local stories as we have national/international stories. --Chiacomo (talk) 04:53, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
