This story is prepared for release when Swedish Wikipedia hits the 100,000 mark. However, I'm not convinced that this event is "news-worthy". Because of this I've been advised to add a "flag" here and ask for comments. Väsk 21:32, 25 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

I think this story will be newsworthy. -- IlyaHaykinson 06:38, August 26, 2005 (UTC)

The Swedish Wikipedia village pump now seems unanimous that Jógvan við Keldu (politician, Faroe Islands) was article 100,000 and not that other linguistic topic. My suggestion is to drop the section of this news item that speculates on why the Swedish Wikipedia is so big, since there are no hard facts to report anyway. Alternatively the fast growth can be attributed to something vague, like "a strong community and high Internet penetration". However, such a statement could hardly be backed by facts. --LA2 19:43, 27 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
