Spain wasn't the first country to ratify the counstitution, Lithuania ratifed the treaty on 11th November 2004, Hungary on 20th December 2004 & Slovenia on the 1st February 2005. :159753 21:24, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)

It looks like Wikipedia's coverage of all this is a bit better than Wikinews's. This article is a bit simplistic and doesn't tell the reader very much.
