I think only that source reported this --TheFEARgod 14:32, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

news that only 1 source reported cannot go here?? --TheFEARgod 14:36, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sorry no, the second one doesn't back up the story - just levels accusations against Israel. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:24, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

You haven't answered me --TheFEARgod 15:39, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Exceptions are possible for Original reporting, Breaking news and local stories." This is certainly a local story, not reported by a wide media. --TheFEARgod 15:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, see Wikinews:Cite sources, it explains why it is near-mandatory to have two sources. Local reporting can indeed be a reason to only have a single source. In those cases there needs to be some consensus to allow the article. The article you've written would need a lot of changes to be allowable with a single source, you state your source's assertions as fact and don't give any mention of claims that the pipe has not been interfered with.
If you are in the area, or know anyone in the area, is there any way this can be fact-checked? My interpretation of a good single source exception is when you use a single online source - such as a local newspaper or TV station's site. And if you can confirm that a local newspaper ran an independently written report on the same story, or you saw another report on the story, then it's safe.
In any case, as noted the story is one-sided. You're suggesting it is a crime with your title, yet has anyone been prosecuted. Otherwise it is allegations and to meet WN:NPOV you need to say who is making those allegations and any counter - such as settler claims. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:55, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

For NPOV, this is interesting as an Israeli news source is reporting very openly it's side's faults. --TheFEARgod 16:00, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and Ynetnews is closer to NPOV than your version. They at least mention the settlers dispute the allegations. I emphasise that word, Who did they speak to? Who made the claim? If they don't specify you have to attribute it to Ynetnews. --Brian McNeil / talk 17:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
The second source is not even a source still. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 17:32, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's impossible to work here. --TheFEARgod 19:11, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Forgive me, I mean no offence, but everyone else seems to manage it. Maybe you should de-stress for a little while, then come back and try again? Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 19:20, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
no-one's helping me with that as I don't know all the rules and instead of that only notifications are being added. --TheFEARgod 23:22, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

"A community [...] claimed that the water comes into it from a small fountain near Elon Moreh which streams to the village.", you removed a good part of the meaning of the community leader response which was : 1) The palestinian village has been connected to the national water company for many years. 2) They diverted water from a fountain used by animals and as backup when there is an interruption in the water supply. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Patrick.N.L (talkcontribs) 20:44, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
