According to wikistyle polices which you can read here
there should be a sources section for this article in the article. Please correct this and add the appropriate sources. Sources aren't optional. If the sources section isn't included the article cannot be published.

I expected there to be a sources section confirming the basic facts and history of the case. I'd still question that - how do we know the original journalism isn't a concoction if these sources aren't there?
News agencies are businesses have reputations and profit lines - readers can be pretty sure they don't just make stuff up because a hack who did that would get sacked. I'm not suggesting this article is made up but on general principle ought not wikipedia original journalism provide some kind of cross-source before the articles are published?
