I expected there to be a sources section confirming the basic facts and history of the case. I'd still question that - how do we know the original journalism isn't a concoction if these sources aren't there?

News agencies are businesses have reputations and profit lines - readers can be pretty sure they don't just make stuff up because a hack who did that would get sacked. I'm not suggesting this article is made up but on general principle ought not wikipedia original journalism provide some kind of cross-source before the articles are published?

Apologies if this is ground covered elsewhere - I'll take a link.

I've added sources for the article, including a link to Selwyn's own thoughts on the case (which are less than neutral, but its useful to see them) - Idiot/Savant (no Wikinews account yet).
