There is a recording made on a mobile phone camera. I doubt whether the person who shot the footage is too keen on being identified... You can see it at: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=863ce7d4a3 it is interesting but disturbing. You can hear a lot of shouting and taunting in the background. Now we know why the "official" footage was released without sound. The BBC has carried reports with translations of some of this, but has not shown the actual execution part of the footage. There are shouts of "Go to Hell" and Saddam responds by telling them that they are not showing bravery. Obviously don't watch this if you will find it upsetting or offensive. as far as I know its still unclear if the reports from Iraqi tv are correct, although from what MSNBC has said these tv channels are fairly reliable but i think its best to say unconfirmed for now.--Ryan524 04:08, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

capitalization

The title should be well capitalized. All of the other Wikinews articles aren't capitalized. It should be like this : Iraqi television reports say Saddam Hussein has been executed. ArmenG 04:31, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Lead Article?

The two other convicts will be executed couple of days later

As far as I heard the two other convicts were not executed because they want more highlight of Saddam's execution, and the news about those two being dead was mistakenly reported by Iraqi television.

I disagree. Showing him in front of a noose would be as tasteless and inappropriate as with it around the neck. Just had the mobile phone movie of his executions on TV. Why the quotes around "unfair"? You've just used the verb "allege", consequently your use of the quotes betrays your bias; i dunno, maybe it was unfair, somehow?

Yes i know what quotes are for, thank you. But i also know that when you narrate that someone alleged/said something, you needn't quote it except if it's gonna be long (meaning, it is a sentence on its own, or a grammatical clause).
