OR edit

This is going to get me a lot of crap. But nonetheless, I e-mailed her show. At least they can deny them. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 01:38, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think based on my research, her death is a hoax. Is it safe to say that I can claim OR on this? DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 03:45, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think it's probably best that you do claim OR. --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 04:01, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous/4chan statement edit

I talked to someone who was part of this and got their quotes:

One individual who claims to be part of the hoax, tells Wikinews that it "was fun as hell" spending "all day /b/ [4chan] photoshopping screenshots of news stories. She got what she deserved. She called anonymous a bunch of pedophiles. Believed a troll on her message boards". DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 04:47, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

They are remaining anonymous. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 04:47, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

{{source}} template edit

I moved one link into a new external links section, but I think it is important this not be listed with the source template. My reasoning is that the |date parameter isn't completed; I regularly correct dates in sources so that if we decide to process the parameter content they are all formatted the same, i.e. Month Daynumber, Year. --Brian McNeil / talk 07:04, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

IP address? edit

Do we think it is really necessary to post the IP of the person who made the edit? M4tth3wg (talk) 17:00, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why not? It can be seen regardless if its written in the article or not. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 19:10, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

If they want to look at their IP address they can search through the edit history. Not only is it unnecessary but it is also a violation of the privacy of that user.--208.89.210.123 05:02, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oprah: "Rumors of my death greatly exaggerated" edit

IMHO that would make a much better headline, if you can induce her to say it. (I can't claim originality for this idea though). Bernard Macdougall (talk) 07:21, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
